With an insatiable appetite for creating, learning and growth, Leanne’s journey as an artist began when she was a young child. Life experiences, especially travelling all over the globe, from Scotland and other parts of Europe to Korea, shaped the artist she is today. Hair as her medium of choice, the salon environment became her art studio and the client, her muse.

Leanne’s drive to elevate the art of hairdressing continued in 2009 when she met Christine Zilinski and quickly realized core values, beliefs and philosophy about hair and education aligned perfectly. Seeing the potential to have a tremendous positive impact on the industry, Leanne enthusiastically joined the Concrete Education team at Salon Concrete.

Since 2009, Leanne has been a key mentor on Salon Concrete’s leadership team and has played a pivotal role in creating a salon training program providing over 90 stylists with a qualified coach and the opportunity to advance both their technical and personal development skills. It has been one of the most satisfying aspects of Leanne’s career to help other professionals in the industry launch their careers, lead them to find success and watch them soar.

Collaborating and studying with some of the most elite stylists and educational teams has been most impactful for Leanne, as she continuously loves to share, teach and build upon her knowledge. From London, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Chicago to New York, Leanne has attended many workshops organized by the likes of Vidal Sassoon, Allilon, and Davines North America. Leanne is especially inspired working backstage at fashion shows like Reem Acra, helping premiere salons build training curriculum for up-and-coming new talent, and of course participating in hair industry shows with Davines and the Concrete Education team.
